MADE IN HEAVEN :Revealing many secrets and lies

Story of two wedding planners in Delhi, where tradition meets with modern aspirations against the backdrop of BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDINGS.

(Stop thinking, start watching)

Amazon prime released it’s all new orignal series “MADE IN HEAVEN” which I watched few days back and couldn’t resist to share my views on it. There is no reason for you to not like it.

Classy script, bang on dialogues, powerful topics, fabulous performances, perfect music, appropriate setting & a great plot.

Big fat Indian weddings are the talk of the town these days & this show takes you to a surprise tour of the behind the scenes chaos of it.

It discloses so many powerful topics, discussions on a girl’s virginity before marriage, betrayal in a relationship & the monetary greed behind it, union of a retired old couple, the difficulty of the LGBTQ community to earn acceptance from family & society and ofcaurse how can we forget demanding a dowry.

The aspirations of an Indian father, be it a billionaire or an office boy to marry off her daughter in the most lavish way possible & the pressures tagged along with it.
Every episode unfolding on its own pace.
Made in heaven is a change of taste from the much viewed gangster & romantic dramas.

THE NARRATIVE NOT ONLY ADDRESSES THESE ISSUES BUT ALSO LEAVES MUCH SPACE FOR THE VIEWERS FOR CONTEMPLATION AND SELF-INTERROGATION OF THE SOCIETY, THEIR IDENTITY, CUSTOMS, BELIEFS AND MARRIAGE AS AN INSTITUTION.

Surprise, subtle & clean performance by the 2 leads, ARJUN MATHUR & SOBHITA DHULIPALA
It’s really commendable how they both played their roles so effortlessly. Other cast also include
JIM SARBH, KALKI KOECHLIN, SHASHANK ARORA, SHIVANI & VINAY.

Last but not the least, the DIRECTION killed it! No words. Not entitled enough to write on it.
